BC Provincial Tuition Waiver Program 2019/2020
The BC government created the Provincial Tuition Waiver Program (PTWP) to improve access to education for former youth in care. The PTWP waives tuition and fees for BC students attending a BC public post-secondary institution, who are 19 to 26 years of age (inclusive), who are former youth in care for a total of two years or more (consecutive or accumulated) in one or more of the eligible categories.

To apply for the BC Provincial Tuition Waiver program, complete the following forms and return them to the Financial Aid and Awards office:
You should also meet with a Student Services Academic Advisor to discuss your program options prior to registering for courses.
Students enrolled in courses through SFU Continuing Studies should contact Continuing Studies directly, as they use their own process for these type of applications.
Students who do not meet the BC PTWP eligibility criteria, or have applied for the BC PTWP through SFU and been denied, may submit an appeal to the System Navigator (email@example.com), which are considered on a case-by-case basis.
