Wiley Learning Institute Online Workshops

Online professional development

The Teaching and Learning Centre is partnering with Wiley Learning Institute (WLI) to offer SFU instructors online professional development opportunities. There are three ways you can participate:

  • Learn at your desktop
  • Attend a campus community broadcast and discussion
  • Engage in the Wiley-SFU online community

Learn at your desktop

Silver flex passes are available to continuing faculty members in 2013. You can select one workshop that fits your professional development needs and participate from the comfort of your office. To learn more about upcoming live and recorded workshops, visit the Wiley-SFU landing page.

Attend a campus community broadcast and discussion

Community broadcasts address academic issues and priorities that are timely and important for SFU. For example, in 2013 these broadcasts will include course design, critical thinking, and program assessment.

Broadcasts are open to all SFU faculty, graduate students, and staff. Review the list of upcoming and available workshops and register. You may also arrange a special broadcast for your department or unit. To organize a recorded broadcast, contact Christine Kurbis.

Engage in the Wiley-SFU online community

After you participate at a workshop, join your SFU colleagues in online discussions.
