A full list of the tools we support.

  • Learning Management Systems
Learning management systems like WebCT provide an online space for course content, along with tools for course administration and interaction between instructors and students.
  • Clickers
Student response systems such as iClickers encourage active learning in large classrooms, but can also stimulate small-group discussion. Learn more about these tools for interactive learning.
  • Conferencing
SFU supports a number of live video and audio conferencing solutions. Learn about the alternatives and find out how to arrange this service.
  • Turnitin
Turnitin is an online service that can be used by instructors to check the originality of papers submitted by students. Read about changes made in January 2012 to SFU's policy for using the service.
  • Blogs | Wikis
Blogs are a tool, usually maintained by one person, for two-way dialogue. Wikis are collaborative websites that can be updated by multiple authors. Find out what's available to you.
  • Copyright | Privacy
The TLC is your first stop for most copyright or privacy inquiries. If this page does not answer your questions, contact the TLC's learning technology analyst.
  • Learn Tech at Surrey
    Ongoing
The TLC's learning technology specialists organize regular presentations and training sessions for faculty members and instructors at SFU Surrey. Bring your laptop and your questions!
