The Indigenous Business Leadership Executive MBA program at SFU Beedie is designed to grow and support your wisdom and knowledge for creating spaces of economic wellbeing. This internationally accredited MBA program focuses on Indigenous economies, entrepreneurship, and leadership. Tuition

 Domestic students (citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada) $66,274.64 CAD 

*includes all course materials, off-site orientation and workshops
*Subject to Board of Governors approval.

Other Fees

Student fee per year (health insurance, transit pass, recreational/athletic facility pass) $2,997 CAD approx.
Student tour (an additional cost may be required as part of the program) $2,000 to $4,000 CAD
Travel & Accommodation (depending on where you live)​ $15,000 CAD approx. 

Funding

Sponsorship from your Nation or other Indigenous organizations:

For students who may receive full or partial financial support from their Nation or community to help with their education costs, SFU has a process for invoicing and receiving these payments. Please direct your sponsor to visit our instructional page here and complete the “Indigenous (First Nations) and Métis Student Sponsorship Authorization” form before starting your program. Our Student Accounts department must receive this form by the tuition deadline each term. The completed form can be emailed to student_accounts@sfu.ca.

Graduate financial aid: Bursaries, loans, and grants

Scholarship & awards

All applications are considered for scholarship—no separate application needed.

At the time of assessing your program admission, we will also review your application to determine scholarship eligibility and award amounts.

Apply early for maximum scholarship consideration.

Scholarship opportunities are awarded on a rolling basis throughout the admissions cycle. To maximize chances of receiving financial support, candidates are strongly encouraged to submit their application early.

CPA Graduate Award in Indigenous Business Leadership

The purpose of the award is to provide funding to Indigenous graduate students enrolled in the EMBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership Program

One award, valued at $5,000. 

BMO John Ellis Graduate Scholarship in Indigenous Business Leadership

The purpose of the A. John Ellis Graduate Entrance Scholarship in Business Administration is to attract the best and brightest graduate students to the Beedie School of Business.

The A. John Ellis Graduate Entrance Scholarship in Business Administration is a one-term award valued at a portion of the earned income from the endowment. If multiple awards are handed out, when possible, one of the scholarships each year will be awarded to a student who is active in social innovation and the nonprofit sector, with preference given to those working internationally. 

Coast Capital Graduate Award in Indigenous Business Leadership

The purpose of the award is to provide funding to Indigenous graduate students enrolled in the EMBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership Program.

Four awards, valued at $10,000 each

Lloyd Carr Harris Foundation Graduate Award in Indigenous Business Leadership

The purpose of the award is to provide funding to Indigenous graduate students enrolled In the EMBA Indigenous Business and Leadership program. 

At least two awards wlll be offered,  valued at $5,000 each

Vancity Executive MBA in Indigenous Business Leadership Graduate Award

The purpose of this award is to offer financial assistance to and reward deserving student(s) entering or enrolled in the EMBA Indigenous Business and Leadership Program. Value varies.
