In a rapidly changing world, SFU Beedie’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) empowers you for the next four years and beyond. With nine concentrations, business certificates, honours options, joint majors, and cross-disciplinary opportunities, our curriculum allows you to prepare for the shifting demands of the job market.

Your journey is at the core of our approach. Through hands-on learning, you will develop skills and learning outcomes that seamlessly integrate with your academic and career path, from self-discovery in year one to career launch in year four.

Year one

Year one: Lay the foundation for success

Launch your journey of self-discovery in BUS 203 and lay the cornerstone for strong business knowledge and skills in the Business Foundation Program. Enrich your perspective through interdisciplinary studies and the non-business elective requirements. Cultivate your skills and career readiness by completing the Business Career Passport workshops, which will teach you how to manage your career.

Year Two: Establish Fundamental Business & Career Skills

Build upon your foundational knowledge with the Lower Division Business Core, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of business essentials. Continue your exploration with the non-business elective requirement and expand your breadth of knowledge.

Year two is pivotal in your career readiness journey as you learn about concentrations and seek opportunities to develop your skills and grow your network. As you embrace this stage, you evolve into a well-rounded and future-ready professional through experiential learning opportunities within coursework, student organizations, international exchange, case competitions, and cooperative education.

Engage in reflective planning through BUS 300 (Planning), where you will align academic studies and experiential learning for the latter half of your degree—a period focused on honing the knowledge, skills, and experiences you need to launch your career.

Dive deep into the Upper Division Business Core to master essential business concepts and begin crafting your expertise in your chosen area of concentration. Experiential opportunities take centre stage, including the Business Co-op Certificate – a prime opportunity to immerse yourself in real-world experiences and foster meaningful connections.
