Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?
I chose to pursue an MBA to strengthen my leadership skills, better navigate complex organizational environments, and create meaningful impact in the healthcare or academic sector. SFU Beedie School of Business was a natural choice for me, as my undergraduate experience at SFU was a positive one. I built strong relationships with professors, received guidance from the career centre, and gained practical experience through the co-op program. The support and growth I received from my undergrad stayed with me beyond graduation. As a result, I knew I wanted to return to SFU to continue my academic and professional development.
How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?
SFU Beedie’s culture is filled with collaboration, teamwork, personal development, active engagement, connection building, resources and support. The culture at SFU is welcoming, so much so, that I decided to return to complete my MBA!
What has been your favourite experience so far? What are you looking forward to?
I just started my program in Spring 2026 so my favourite experience so far has been meeting my mentor, cohort and students in other cohorts. I am looking forward to getting to know the people I have met so far and building some lasting connections that I can carry outside this program. I am also looking forward to getting involved more in the SFU Beedie community!
Go-to study location: My go to study location is the Harbour Centre or a local coffee shop.
Go-to study snack: I love popcorn!
