Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

I decided to pursue an MBA to keep my knowledge current and deepen my understanding of business practices beyond my home country. I also wanted to continue growing as a professional and leader. SFU stood out to me because of its location, focus on experiential learning, and diverse student community. Hearing the success stories of SFU Beedie alumni reinforced my decision, as I wanted an education that combines academic rigor with real-world application.

How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?

SFU Beedie’s culture is incredibly supportive and open. From the Career Management Centre to professors and peers, everyone is genuinely willing to engage and offer help where needed. This collaborative spirit was clear to me even during the application process and has continued throughout the program, creating an environment where students feel encouraged to grow in all areas.

What has been your favourite experience so far? What are you looking forward to?

My favourite experience so far has been joining the Graduate Women’s Council. It’s exciting to belong to a club that’s committed to championing women’s empowerment and fostering meaningful dialogue. I’ve also really enjoyed getting to know my cohort and learning from their diverse experiences. Moving forward, I look forward to applying classroom insights to real-world projects and expanding my professional network within the Canadian business landscape.
