Junior (5-6 Years)

Junior campers experience a variety of activities. Each week will include recreational and co-operative games, creative arts & crafts, and stories. A great offering for young minds!

Note: Campers will be enjoing outdoor activities and will need to pack extra clothing each day.

Mountain Madness (7-9 Years)

Come join us as we learn about basic outdoor skills, local plants and wildlife, and develop an appreciation for the environment. Specific activities can include basic orienteering, shelter building, trail walking, and packing an emergency kit.

Note: Campers must wear closed toed shoes and be dressed for the weather

Soccer (6-12 Years)

Soccer camp is facilitated by the SFU Soccer team and includes coaching from team coahces, athletes, and alumuni players. Each day will be divided into technical and tactical skill development, team building, with some World Cup games.

Note: Campers will be grouped by age and skill level. Note: This camp takes place outdoors and campers should come prepared in appropriate gear.

Future Ready Minds (6-12 Years)

S.T.E.A.M'ERS (6-8yrs)

Inventing, problem solving, prototyping, and technology literacy are key skills students need to succeed in our modern, fast-paced world. S.T.E.A.M'ers helps children to explore their curiosity and creativity, in a fun environment.

Children will experience:

  • Mindfulness: Deep breathing, attention training and gratitude journaling to build resilience and a positive “growth” mindset.
  • Social Connection: Hands-on science experiments, engineering challenges, and arts-based activities to develop their creativity and collaboration skills.
  • Play: Hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) activities to build adaptability, critical thinking and innovation skills.

S.T.E.A.M'ERS PLUS (6-8yrs)

S.T.E.A.M'ers Plus builds on the skills from S.T.E.A.M'ers and challenges our campers with slightly more advanced science concepts and hands - on experiments in a fun and playful environment. Ideal for campers who have done the S.T.E.A.M'ers camp before.

Children will experience:

  • Downtime: Deep breathing, attention training, gratitude journaling, and mindfulness practices to build resilience and a positive “growth” mindset.
  • Others: The basics of coding, hands-on science experiments, engineering challenges, and arts-based activities to develop their creativity and critical thinking skills.
  • Play: Hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) activities to build adaptability, communication and innovation skills.

Read & Lead (6-8yrs)

This program uses fun, interactive tools to teach reading fundamentals and comprehension skills required to become successful leaders. We work on the foundational skills in a playful way and use storytelling to keep children engaged.
Please note: this is NOT a reading assessment program.

Children will experience:

  • Downtime:Deep breathing, attention training, gratitude journaling, and mindfulness practices to build resilience and a positive “growth” mindset.
  • Social Connection:Active listening, Follow along, Story telling, Role playing, to help each other communicate and learn to read better.
  • Play:Exploring alphabets, phonics and words together through various play and art based activities and making reading super fun!

Mindset Masters (6-8yrs)

Mindset Masters allows young leaders to explore brain science, mindfulness exercises, personal goals and positive growth mindset tools to help them develop an "I CAN DO IT!" attitude.

Children will experience:

  • Downtime: Deep breathing, attention training, gratitude journaling, and mindfulness practices to build resilience and a positive “growth” mindset.
  • Others: Active listening, visual goal setting, arts-based activities and team building exercises to develop leadership, communication and contribution skills.
  • Play: Neuroscience tools and an interactive play-based learning environment to develop their ability to overcome failure, be comfortable with mistakes, set personal goals, and master a positive mindset.

Confident Public Speaking (6-8yrs)

Confident Public Speaking is a great program for younger children exploring their language skills. They learn ways to express their big ideas and build their speaking skills through interactive activities, personalized coaching, and fun speech exercises, leading to improved confidence and presentation of their own fun topic.

Children will experience:

  • Mindfulness: Deep breathing, attention training, and mindfulness practices to build resilience and a positive “growth” mindset.
  • Social Connection: Interactive drama and speech activities that enhance expression, voice projection, gestures, posture, and tone.
  • Play: Practice with out-of-the-box thinking, wild brainstorming, researching, developing an engaging speech through various creative play activities that foster collaboration and innovation

TED-Style Public Speaking (9-12yrs)

Gain confidence to express your big ideas! TED-Style Public Speaking is a great program for young leaders who want to build their public speaking skills with interactive activities, personalized coaching, and fun speech exercises, leading to their very own Ted-style talk.

Children will experience:

  • Mindfulness: Deep breathing, attention training, and mindfulness practices to build resilience and a positive “growth” mindset.
  • Social Connection: Interactive drama and speech activities that enhance expression, voice projection, gestures, posture, and tone.
  • Play: Practice with out-of-the-box thinking, wild brainstorming, researching, developing an engaging speech through various creative play activities that foster collaboration and innovation.

Future Ready Leaders (9-12yrs)

Build key future-ready skills for innovation, social connection, and resilience! Young leaders will engage in a variety of activities and games to develop the 5 C’s of the Consciousness Quotient - Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Critical thinking, and Contribution skills. They will work towards a passion project and present ideas on how to bring about social/ global awareness and change..

Children will experience:

  • Mindfulness:Deep breathing, attention training and gratitude journaling to build resilience and a positive “growth” mindset.
  • Social Connection:Empathetic listening, visual storytelling, persuasive speaking and community building exercises to develop enhanced leadership and contribution skills.
  • Play: Critical Thinking, practice wild brainstorming, and imagination exercises, to develop their adaptability and innovation skills.
