THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE REGISTERING
- Ensure campers are dressed for the weather and prepared with a change of clothes.
- Individuals age 5+ are supported to continue to wear a mask in indoor spaces, except during physical activity and eating/drinking
- Campers and guardians are expected to check for cold or flu-like symptoms prior to arriving to campus and are asked to stay home if experiencing any.
- We are unable to accommodate transfers, meaning half-day camps cannot be combined. If you require a full-day option, please select a full-day camp.

Girls Rock (5-9 Years)
Girls* Rock is designed to teach and foster learning and conversations about wellness, advocacy, self-confidence, and empowerment. Campers will explore and learn about topics through artisitic activities, active games, team challenges, and reflection.
*This camp was created for girls but is perfect for any camper who is passionate about the topics.
Junior Camp (5-6 Years)
Junior campers experience a variety of themed activities including recreational and co-operative games, creative arts & crafts, and stories. This is a great offering for young minds and a phenomenal introduction to the SFU Camps Experience!
Leadership (12-15 Years)
Our Leadership training is designed for teens wanting to develop their leadership skills! Participants will practice skills such as public speaking, communication, and teamwork through a combination of discussion-based activities, games, and presentations. This is the perfect stepping stone for teens interested in becoming a future SFU Camps Volunteer or Instructor.
Rec Reality (8-10 Years)
Based on popular reality TV shows, campers will race, perform, and challenge themselves individually and as a team during this action-packed and fun-filled camp.
Basketball Boys AM (5-13 Years)
SFU Basketball Camps are designed for campers of all ages and skill levels to learn and practice essential basketball fundamentals taught by SFU Varsity Coaches, Athletes, and Alumni. Campers will develop new skills and strong work habits to apply to game situations.
Basketball Girls PM (5-13 Years)
SFU Basketball Camps are designed for campers to learn and practice essential basketball fundamentals in a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. SFU Coaches and current members of the varsity team emphasize developing new skills, strong work habits and carrying these traits into games.
Climb & Sport Camp (9-12 Years)
Climbing & Sport Camp is an exciting and fun-filled opportunity to work out that summer energy in a variety of sports, such as Badminton! During the climbing portion campers will spend 2 hours of climbing each day on SFU's very own Climbing Wall. Climbing Instructors will handle the safety so campers can focus on having fun and developing new climbing skills!
Note: Campers will NOT be taught how to belay during this time, but will spend more time on the wall learning basic movements and technique.
H2O Wonders (8-12 Years)
Learn how to kayak, snorkel, and do other aquatic activities in the SFU Pool! Discover water polo, diving, synchronized swimming, and basic lifesaving & first aid skills.

Each day is divided into technical and tactical soccer development rounded out with fun activities. SFU Men’s Soccer coaches, athletes and selected elite alumni provide elite coaching.
Note: Campers may be grouped by age and skill level. This camp takes place outdoors.
Soccer Girls Camp (6-11 Years)
Each day is divided into a morning of technical and tactical soccer development, with an afternoon of small sided World Cup games. SFU Men’s Soccer coaches, athletes and selected elite alumni provide elite coaching. Campers will be grouped by age and skill level.
Softball and Baseball Camp (7-12 Years)
The Softball and Baseball Skills Camp is intended to be an opportunity for all softball and baseball players to improve their skills in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment, while being coached by SFU coaches and players. These 5-day camps will focus on all areas of the game including hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running. We will incorporate many other activities that will make the day enjoyable and fun! If you want to come out for a fun filled week of baseball and softball this is the camp for you!
Swim Camp - Start-Turn (8-16 Years)
Our camps will work explicitly on skills that improve swimming performance by optimizing the skills into and out from the walls. These objectives are met by providing to our participants caring, experienced coaches; instruction on fundamental skills; proven skill progressions and drills; and methods to monitor skill improvement. Our coaches provide the tools and will show the swimmers how to continue to improve their skills this summer and through their swimming career.

Dolphin Kids Camps (6-8 Years)
Dolphin Kids is a unique virtual learning opportunity aimed to ignite every child’s intelligence and innovative nature for social connection, critical thinking, creative expression, and purposeful contribution. The program is built on the P.O.D. (play, others, downtime) method and these pillars are incorporated into 1-hour classes which cover a range of topics. Please see below for specific class descriptions.
Our brains can be hardwired to adapt, be resilient, and overcome failure to achieve our very best. Young leaders will explore brain science, mindfulness activities, team-building exercises, and resiliency challenges to master their mindset and develop an 'I CAN DO IT' attitude!
Creativity is the #1 skill identified for future-ready leaders! This is a great program for young leaders who want to explore their curiosity, the design-thinking process, and bring their creative ideas to life in a fun, hands-on learning environment. The possibilities are endless and campers are encouraged to dream big!
Design thinking, technology literacy, and making observations are important skills that today’s children need to succeed in our modern, fast-paced world. Young leaders will explore the basics of coding, hands-on science experiments, and problem-solve with engineering and art-based activities. This interactive, hands-on learning environment will challenge both the left and right brain!
TED-STYLE PUBLIC SPEAKING
Gain confidence to express your ideas! TED-Style Public Speaking is a great program for young leaders who want to build their public speaking skills with interactive activities, personalized coaching, and fun speech exercises!
Pre-University: Medicine (13-16 Years)
University Prep is a 1-week camp that introduces campers to a variety of subjects related to the field of Medicine through observations, guided experiments, and group discussions with their peers. Campers will learn in a dynamic classroom environment and participate in recreational activities in athletic facilities at SFU.
Science: Chemistry (6-12 Years)
Chemistry camps will provide a dynamic learning experience for any young scientist. Campers will be introduced to various chemical concepts such as forensic science, states of matter, chemical kinetics and enzymatic activity. Lessons are taught through dynamic lessons, guided experiments, and hands-on demonstrations, all directed through our budding scientists’ lens.
Science: Engineering (6-12 Years)
Engineering camp will provide the building blocks for mini engineers. Campers will be introduced to various facets of engineering through a fun and interactive medium. Campers will develop their own memorable projects that they can test and take home.
Science: Planet Earth (6-12 Years)
Planet Earth will provide a dynamic learning experience for mini Earth Scientists. Campers will be introduced to various topics such as Weather and Atmosphere, Natural Hazards, Oceans, Climate Change and Biomes. Lessons will take place in the classroom and outside and will be guided through hands-on demonstrations, arts and crafts and creative challenges.
Science: STEM (6-12 Years)
STEM camp is a multi-disciplinary camp intended to introduce campers to the wonderful expansive world of STEM! Campers will explore concepts in the classroom and then have time to apply the knowledge in activities and challenges around campus. A great camp to 'spark' a camper's appreciation for STEM!
Basketball Boys ID Camps (15-18 Years)
SFU NCAA IDENTIFICATION CAMP & COMBINE
The SFU Men's Basketball Unsigned Senior Identification Camp is a competitive tryout over two days that includes on-court skill work, competitive scenarios and scrimmages run by the SFU coaching staff. This camp is meant for players that are in Grade 12, going into Grade 12 or have recently graduated high school.

Teaching Point Guard play, Wing Play, Inside Moves, Getting Open & Transition Play.
Note: Campers are expected to bring their own ball.
SFU BASKETBALL NCAA SHOOTING ACADEMY
Fundamental shooting camp that progresses to individual, off-season workouts and competitive shooting drills used by SFU Men’s Basketball team.
Note: Campers are asked to bring a cell phone or digital camera later in the week to record and self-analyze their own shot mechanics
Basketball Girls Skills Camp (9-17 Years)
Basketball Women's Elite Camps (15-18 Years)
This camp is ideal for competitive players who see themselves potentially playing at the university level. Our goal is to provide a window to see and feel what it is like to play at a post-secondary institution. The camp will be run by Coach Langford with the help of his staff and the team.This camp will focus on university level skill development and will push players in the hope of giving them an understanding of what a serious commitment to basketball entails for playing at the next level.
Football NCAA Showcase Camp (15-18 Years)
Canada's NCAA Showcase Camp is for high school players (entering grade 11 - entering grade 12) interested in athletic and skill development by the SFU and other NCAA Football coaches. The two hour camp consists of athletic skill work and then competition periods within your position group.
Players will spend the majority of their time working with position coaches from NCAA Schools in order to improve their individual technique and skills. Players will have a chance to compete in one on one and group settings. Each camper will be provided with an SFU Football Camp T-Shirt. Come and compete with the best.

Soccer College Prep Women (15-18 Years)
Players will experience NCAA college-style training sessions and be asked to performed in an environment designed to showcase their skills. The sessions will maximize skill exposure through a variety of competitive exercises designed to highlight soccer fundamentals and give insights into the requirements to play at the next level. In addition, players can expect to receive individual attention in a fun, safe environment directly from SFU coaching staff.

The SFU men's soccer Identification Camp is designed to provide players (ages 16+ yrs) an opportunity to showcase themselves by going through a variety of technical exercises, small-sided and full-sided games. This is a great opportunity to build strong fundamentals, showcase your skills as an athlete, and prepare yourself for the upcoming season. Let our staff and players help prepare you for the next level. These camps are meant for both those new to the game and those who have already loved it for years!
Swim Skills Camps (10-16 Years)
ADVANCED SWIM SKILLS CAMP (10-16 YRS)
The Advanced Swim Skill Camp consists of three hours of technique focus covering each stroke, an elite video filming below and above the water, and an analysis session.It’s a unique camp that offers all three learning approaches; the Dryland part will teach the swimmer to feel the technique, the water part will introduce the swimmer technique by doing it, and the video part will teach the swimmer by visualization.
Volleyball Skills Camps (12-18 Years)
ADVANCED SKILLS HIGH SCHOOL CAMP (Gr. 9-12)
The Advanced Skills Camp is for any high school athletes interested in playing post-secondary volleyball at a college or university. Sessions will be lead by Head SFU Volleyball Coach, GINA SCHMIDT, and her staff. This camp is designed to improve individual skills, which includes some position specific training, as well as the player’s overall understanding of game tactics and strategy.
POSITION SPECIFIC GROUP TRAINING (12-17yrs)
The Position Specific Small Group Training will be led by SFU Head Coach, GINA SCHMIDT, and will focus on improving techniques specific to each skill. Limited spots will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
