What do I use a Status Change ePAR for?

The Status Change ePAR changes employment status. It is used for employee resignations, retirements and leaves of absences (i.e., maternity/parental leaves or an extended leave of absence without pay).

How do I get access to Status Change ePAR?

Log in to myinfo.sfu.ca and select GT ePAR.

All supervisors (APSA/APEX/Faculty employees who have employees reporting to them) have access to create and approve Status Change ePARs within the department their position belongs to. If you require access to create or approve Status Change ePARs for additional departments, please fill out the HAP Special Security Access form for authorization.

I have access to the Temp Pool ePAR; will I automatically get access to the Status Change ePAR?

You will automatically have access to the Status Change ePAR if you are a supervisor (APSA/APEX/Faculty employees who have employees reporting to them). Your automatic access is limited within your home department. If you are not a supervisor or require access for additional departments, please fill out the HAP Special Security Access form for authorization.

How do I create a Status Change ePAR?

Log in to myinfo.sfu.ca and select GT ePAR; then, select Create a new ePAR -> Change Employment Status. For instructions on how to fill out the Status Change ePAR, please refer to the documentation here.

How do I attach a supporting documentation to a Status Change ePAR?

Click on “Add File Attachment”, select the attachment type, and then you will be able to upload the supporting documentation to the Status Change ePAR.

For terminations & retirements, who should be completing the Performance Assessment box?

The supervisor should be completing this section. If you are initiating on behalf of the supervisor, please type in “to be completed by supervisor” prior to submitting the form. Then the supervisor can complete their assessment of the employee in the comments section once the form is routed to him/her for approval.

How do I access a Status Change ePAR that I had started to complete, but then saved for later prior to submitting?

Log in to myinfo.sfu.ca and select GT ePAR; then, select Resubmit, Change, or Withdraw an ePAR; then, select Search.
