Meeting Rooms
There are three meeting and event spaces available at The Goldcorp Centre for the Art available on a regular basis
Additional space may be available on an ad hoc basis, subject to availability, please ask our Event Services Team for more information.
Event space includes a 350-seat theatre, the World Art Centre, perfect for casual meetings, receptions or pre-event gatherings, and a lobby/reception area.
Djavad Mowafaghian Cinema
The Djavad Mowafaghian Cinema is a 350-seat theatre featuring state-of-the-art projection and sound systems. The Cinema showcases student film projects, along with festival and community film screenings. It is also an ideal space for lectures and presentations. With room at the front of the hall for a small stage, the Cinema can double as a concert hall for small ensemble performances.
Djavad Mowafaghian World Art Centre
This studio is an acoustically sophisticated venue for the performance and study of world music. The World Art Centre houses the school’s suite of Indonesian Gamelan instruments and collection of African drums for ongoing classes and performances, and is available to world music ensembles for rehearsal and performance. This room is also a unique space for casual meetings, receptions or pre-event gatherings.
Ground Floor Lobby
The ground floor lobby is accessible from our main entrance and can be used for registration and receptions.
