Synopsis

I will explain how negatively curved space is emulated in recent ground-breaking experiments using hyperbolic lattices with circuit quantum electrodynamics and topoelectrical circuits, and what novel physical effects can be observed in hyperbolic space. After an elementary introduction to hyperbolic geometry, I will discuss the intriguing crystallographic properties of hyperbolic lattices and exemplify hyperbolic matter on the fascinating example of hyperbolic graphene.
