Fostering Belonging in the Natural Sciences

Synopsis

Diversity of thought and perspective play a critical role in driving innovation, accelerating discovery, and advancing research.  Yet many in STEM fields who come from diverse and minoritized backgrounds experience a lack of belonging, which can create barriers to success, rentention, and participation.

In a dialogue led by Dr. Mu-Chun Chen, we will explore the challenges and barriers to fostering belonging in science, as well as opportunities to cultivate inclusive excellence in scientific communities.
