Daria Ahrensmeier Chairs Inaugural CAP Division of Quantum Information

The Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) has approved a new Division of Quantum Information (DQI) that will be established on January 1, 2024.

The inaugural executive committee will be chaired by Daria Ahrensmeier of SFU Physics.  She will be joined by Olivia De Matteo (UBC), Thomas Baker (U.Victoria) and Carlo Maria Scandolo (U.Calgary).

The DQI wants to continue and expand the interdisciplinary, cross-sector conversations and collaborations started at the CAP 2023 Congress, and to provide opportunities for showcasing the QI work that is happening in Canada.

CAP members are welcome to join the new division – and non-members are invited to join CAP and the DQI!
