Physics Welcomes Two CERCs to the Department

The Department of Physics is honoured to welcome two new Canada Excellence Research Chairs joining us as new faculty members. 

Prof. Darren Grant will be joining us from Michigan State University as the CERC in Astroparticle Physics.  Prof. Thomas Jennewein will be joining us from the University of Waterloo as the CERC in Global Quantum Internet Systems.  We are proud to say this is the first time a single department will welcome two CERCs at the same time.

We also congratulate and welcome Professor Nicholas Reo, who is joining SFU’s Indigenous Studies Department as a CERC in Coastal Relationalities and Regeneration.
