SFU Physics at the CUPC

SFU Physics was well-represented at the Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference that took place at McMaster University on Oct 15-18, 2026.

Undergraduate students Cassia McDonald, Jonathan Ash-Roberts, Kai Blomquist and Ibrahim King gave oral presentations at the event, while Devseerat Singh Sran gave a poster presentation.  All of them were well-received!

A special congratulations to Cassia McDonald, who won 2nd place overall for her oral presentation, "Investigating the Decay of Excited ^(120)Sn Produced from Thermal Neutron Capture".
