We apply laser spectroscopy to problems in condensed matter physics, to develop new ways of understanding the physical properties of solids. Current projects include:
Transient photoconductivity of Mott insulators
Terahertz spectroscopy of metals and superconductors
Terahertz magneto-optic spectroscopy
Pump-probe spectroscopy of Mott insulators
We also participate regularly in applied projects with industrial partners. For example, in collaboration with a local division of Honeywell, we developed terahertz spectroscopy for sensing applications in the paper industry.
