2025 Spring Break Camps
ABOUT THE CAMP:
SFU's Autism and Developmental Disabilities Lab (ADDL) and UVic's Different Minds Academy is hosting a Spring Break Camp event for children ages 6 to 17 years with and without a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)! This camp will have a focus on magic and robotics workshops! We also have crafts, research tasks, and other fun activities!
Who Can Participate? Autistic and non-autistic youth (ages 6-17 years) are invited to participate in the day camp. We will host separate days for younger and older children.
When is the camp? The camp is from March 19th-21st and March 25th-28th. Camps are one-day long and run from 9:00am-2:00pm.
Where is the camp? The camp is held at the ADDL at SFU Burnaby.
How to Sign Up: Please complete the following form to indicate your interest in registering for this camp. The information you provide will help us select which dates to hold the camps. We will reach out to you with more information about how to register for the camps once the dates are confirmed.

About the Spring Break Camp: The SFU Autism and Developmental Disabilities Lab (ADDL) is hosting FREE camps in collaboration with UVic's Different Minds Academy during spring break (March 15th-30th, 2025). These camps will be held at SFU Burnaby Campus.
Magic with Kel
Kel is a professional magician with 24 years of experience captivating audiences. At the Magic Camp, participants will engage in hands-on activities like mastering card tricks, learning sleight of hand, exploring the art of storytelling, and creating their own illusions. The workshop fosters creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills while promoting the joy of performance and self-expression. Through the magic of entertainment, we’ll create moments of wonder that inspire curiosity and a lifelong love for the art of illusion.

Robotics with Dr. Su
Dr. Su is a robotics educator with a Ph.D. in Robotics. At the Robotics Camp, children will engage in hands-on activities like building robots, programming microbits, exploring artificial intelligence, and solving real-world challenges. The camp promotes STEM skills, creativity, and aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals by fostering innovation and quality education.
