Biography

Alex is a Postdoctoral Fellow in REM within the CLIMB lab. He received his BSc in Geographic Information Science from Western University and his MSc in Physical Geography from the University of Toronto. He completed his PhD in February 2026 at the University of Saskatchewan, where his research focused on advancing models of snow and energy exchange in needleleaf forests in western and northern Canada. His current research investigates how climate change impacts interconnected ecological, hydrological, and biogeochemical systems using a coupled hydrological-land surface modelling framework.
