Biography

Dr. Kaitlyn Watson is an Educational Research Developer with TILT. Kaitlyn holds a PhD in Education Studies from Western University, MA in Canadian Studies and Indigenous Studies from Trent University, and BEd as well as BASc (Hons) from Lakehead University. In addition to being a classroom teacher at the high school level, Kaitlyn has taught in the post-secondary sector for over a decade including face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses in synchronous and asynchronous contexts.
Dedicated to learner-centred instruction, Kaitlyn has engaged in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) related to her own teaching practice and is keen to share the benefits with others. In addition to SoTL, Kaitlyn’s curricular, pedagogical, and research interests focus on curriculum, social justice, decolonization, and reconciliation.
