Biography
Sudheer Gupta holds a B.Eng. from Punjab Engineering College and an MBA and Ph.D. from McGill University.
He previously served as an Assistant Professor at the Ross School of Business from 1998 to 2005. Professor Gupta has also held visiting appointments at several leading global institutions, including UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins University, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, HEC Paris, and University of Texas at Austin.
From 2011 to 2018, he served as Director of the Jack Austin Centre for Asia Pacific Business Studies. In 2014, he delivered the SFU President’s Faculty Lecture titled “Can Business Help Alleviate Poverty?”, reflecting his interest in the role of business in addressing global development challenges.
