Evaleen Jaager Roy
Biography
Evaleen Jaager Roy is a business strategist and executive advisor who currently serves as Chair of the Beedie School of Business Advisory Board at Simon Fraser University. She previously served as Board Chair at SFU—the first alumna elected to this role—and as Board Chair at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where she helped pave the way for the university's iconic new campus. Her corporate career included serving as Vice President of Human Resources for Electronic Arts, where she held three senior vice-presidential roles including leading EA's European operations, a $1.5 billion, 24-country business unit. She was instrumental in building Vancouver's video game industry during EA's early high-growth years and co-created EA University. Evaleen also served as HR Director at Westcoast Energy and began her career in the U.S. auto sector. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and has received Honorary Doctorates from both SFU and Emily Carr University, along with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal and recognition as a BIV Influential Business Woman Award winner.
