SFU Beedie makes impressive showing as host of 2026 BC MBA Games
SFU’s Beedie School of Business proudly hosted the 2026 BC MBA Games from October 23-25, after winning the 2025 competition. SFU Beedie welcomed teams from across the province to downtown Vancouver to compete in academic, sports, and spirit events.
The BC MBA Games is an annual event that brings together MBA students to create solutions to real world business challenges.
This year’s theme was ‘changing the game.’ Participants were challenged to rethink how sport, business, and society can advance equity, inclusion, and collaboration. Over the weekend, teams examined systems that create barriers to participation and were asked to design innovative solutions that promote belonging, shared leadership, and fair opportunities across industries.
Teams competed in the following areas: live and take-home cases presented by Vancouver Goldeneyes, Vancouver Bandits, and viaSport, as well as fundraising, social media campaigns, PechaKucha presentations, and sports including bowling, eGolf, and eGames.
“Throughout the weekend, I loved supporting my team as they tackled each challenge,” says SFU Beedie team captain Sarah Haysom. “Watching everyone work together, overcome hurdles, and finish the weekend with smiles on their faces was everything I could have asked for. I am so proud of this team and grateful to have been part of such a memorable experience. The energy from all the schools was electric and a celebration of all the hard work, dedication, and spirit that went into the 2026 BC MBA Games.”
Vancouver Island University was named the overall winner of the 2026 BC MBA Games and will host the games in 2027.
Congratulations to every participating school. Thank you to our sponsors for their generous support, and to the students, coaches, staff and organizing committee for making the 2026 BC MBA Games a success.
