Mary Pat MacKinnon
PRINCIPAL, ENGAGEMENT MATTERS
With over 30 years of experience spanning public, not-for-profit, and private sectors, Mary Pat is a seasoned stakeholder and public engagement professional, with a broad portfolio of complex policy initiatives (domestic and international). With a strong belief in the power and necessity of human connection and collaboration, she welcomes opportunities to contribute to a more just and sustainable world. Mary Pat has led, designed, and reported on an array of stakeholder and public engagements, using both in-person and online methods. She writes and presents on the theory and practice of democratic engagement and social change. She was a Senior Fellow at the University of Ottawa’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (2007-2015) and Director of the Public Involvement Network at Canadian Policy Research Networks. She has a BA (Hons) and an MPA from Queens University.
