PRINCIPAL, MODUS PLANNING DESIGN & ENGAGEMENT

Vince specializes in the challenging field of community engagement, helping organizations connect meaningfully with stakeholders and citizens on issues of shared concern. He has developed 10 agency-wide engagement policies, and is an experienced strategic planner and retreat facilitator. Drawing on 20+ years of experience, Vince works closely with clients to design robust engagement strategies and processes, then facilitates events, forums, and workshops of all kinds (often integrating digital engagement) to engage large and diverse audiences. Vince draws from the "Art of Hosting Transformative Conversations" and uses dialogue-based techniques like circle, world cafe, open space and interview matrix.  His consulting firm of 18 people works across Western Canada, with a recent project winning the Planning Institute of British Columbia's gold medal. For eight years, he has helped deliver the thriving “SFU Certificate in Civic Engagement and Dialogue”.
