GEOG 497-5 International Field Study
In Summer 2017, 15 SFU undergraduate students travelled to the 2017 European Green Capital region to learn about urban greening, the German approach to urban planning and policy, urban resilience and what lies behind it. Students were hosted in Germany at partner institution TU-Dortmund and spent time throughout the Rhine-Ruhr region, in cities such as Essen, Cologne, and Bonn. Travel took place between June 18-July 2nd.
