Accessing Support Within the Department
The Department of Geography has put together the following guide to assist those who may feel more comfortable reaching out to a support person within the department. Please note that the contacts provided below are intended for students, faculty and staff/sessional instructors/post-docs within the Department of Geography.
Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students are encouraged to reach out to their:
- Course Instructor (in cases where the incident is related to a particular course and/or course-based activity); or
- Academic Advisor (in cases where the incident is not course-related or the student feels more comfortable speaking with the advisor)

Accessing Support within SFU
As part of SFU's newly created bullying and harassment hub, resources are now available to anyone who has experienced bullying or harassment within the course of their learning, teaching, research or work with SFU.*
These resources can be accessed through the SFU Bullying and Harassment website and are available both to those directly affected as well as to their support person/s. Links to the resources are provided below:
- Bullying & Harassment Resources - provides access to role-specific (student, staff, faculty) resources and supports
- Bullying & Harassment Report - provides access to the centralized online reporting form, details on how to submit a report and information on the office to which it will be directed for action and review
