Changes to Video Creation in Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft is retiring the current Sora video generation feature available in Copilot Create to align with recent changes to the Sora offering. This feature (available to those with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license) will be replaced with new video creation capabilities in the future.
Beginning in mid-June 2026, you will start to see the Sora video experience removed from Copilot Create, with full retirement expected by late June 2026. After this time, you will no longer be able to create new videos using Sora; however, any videos you have already created will remain available.
Note: This update only applies to those with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license at SFU.
