NOTICE: CANVAS CLOUD RESTORED
Instructure, the company behind Canvas Cloud, informed institutions of a systems breach earlier this month. To protect our community, SFU restricted access to Canvas Cloud.
SFU IT has conducted final administrative reviews after Instructure completed their required security checks. Access has now been restored for all Canvas users starting today, May 19.
Students are reminded to check their SFU email for course information.
Please see latest updates here: sfu.ca/alerts and contact ServiceHub if you are having access issues.

With this recent incident in mind, we want to emphasize a few key actions that community members can take to help maintain a safe campus and protect assets critical to our work:
- Protect your personal information: Be aware that there are online scams that try to get you to provide personal and/or financial information. Do not respond to unsolicited emails or voice mail that asks for banking, financial or other sensitive information. SFU will never ask for your passwords.
- Report suspicious emails: Report phishing or suspicious emails by following these steps.
