Congratulations to SIAT professors Will Odom, Philippe Pasquier, and Bernhard Riecke, recipients of 2020 research and resource grants. The grants have been awarded from various funding programs to support research on diverse project within the School of Interactive Arts & Technology.

Dr. Odom, recipient of a SSHRC Insight Grant, will be using the grant to investigate the theoretical and practical development of slow interaction design. SSHRC Insight Grants aim to build knowledge and understanding about people, societies, and the world.

Dr. Pasquier is a recipient of the 2020 Compute Canada Resource Allocation competition which allocates resources to support projects and research. These resouces will be used to support Dr. Pasquier's research around artificial intelligence.

Dr. Riecke, recipient of the 2020 NSERC Discovery Grant, will be researching locomotion interfaces for virtual reality and telepresence. The Discovery Grant Program supports ongoing programs of research with the goal of advancing knowledge in the natural sciences or engineering.
