Request a transcript

All academic transcripts are confidential and can only be released by request from a student or alumnus.

To ensure security and privacy, we do not accept transcript requests by phone.

Note: The information below is for students and alumni requesting their undergraduate or graduate academic history. To request a record of your non-credit Continuing Studies academic history, contact SFU Continuing Studies.

Notice to students who have applied for graduation in the Summer 2019 term

If you have applied to graduate in the Summer 2019 term, please be advised your transcript will not show the award of credentials until September 10, 2019.

We recommend that you review your unofficial transcript to confirm that your record has been updated with your credential information before you order a copy.

If you require a letter confirming that you have successfully completed all academic requirements of your program before September 10, you may wish to request a Credential Completion Letter.

Official transcripts

An official transcript is a complete record of your academic history at Simon Fraser University up until the day the transcript is produced. It lists classes in progress, courses you have taken, grades received, credentials awarded and other information relating to your undergraduate and graduate academic career at SFU. Course work taken at other institutions that is being credited towards your program at SFU will not appear on your official transcript, but it will list the name of the institution at which transfer credit was taken as well as the total number of transfer credit received.

All official transcripts are printed on security paper with the Simon Fraser University seal and signature of the Registrar. Official transcripts are available to current students, former students and alumni. All outstanding accounts must be cleared before an official transcript is released.
