Prof Samira Siahrostami elected to the Royal Society of Canada College
SFU Chemistry associate professor Samira Siahrostami has been elected to the Royal Society of Canada College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists (RSC College).
Dr. Siahrostami, a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair, is a computational chemist working at the intersection of materials science and clean energy. Her research uses quantum mechanical simulations, computational modeling and data-driven methods to understand and improve materials used in electrochemical technologies. This work contributes to the development of more efficient and sustainable energy solutions.
The RSC College recognizes mid-career scholars, artists and scientists across Canada for their expertise, innovation and contributions to emerging fields. Congratulations to Dr. Siahrostami on this well-deserved recognition, on behalf of the entire Department!
