The Burnaby Mountain University Professorships are no longer available for new incumbents. The Burnaby Mountain University Professorships were established by the Burnaby Mountain Endowment Fund. The purpose of the Burnaby Mountain University Professorships was to attract, and/or recognize and retain excellent faculty.

Existing holders of this professorship will continue to be eligible for renewal for up to a 5 year term until their resignation or retirement from SFU in accordance with the criteria and review process in place for Retention Awards.
