GEP Teachers Workshop

A professional development workshop for secondary science teachers designed to help them understand the under-representation of women in physics & engineering in Canada and give them strategies to encourage girls and other under-represented groups in their physics and general science classes. We also introduce hands-on activities that were created to inspire an interest in physics in all students.

New this year: We have resdesigned the workshop for 2018 and will be including materials developed by the APS/AAPT STEP UP 4 Women program.

Our next workshop will be August 22, 2018. Please go to our eventbrite page to register.

The registration deadline is August 17th so make sure to sign up soon.

Please contact sjohnson@sfu.ca for more information.
