DANCE INSTRUCTORS

Natasha graduated from SFU in 2017 with a BSc Kinesiology (Active Health & Rehabilitation concentration) and extended minor in Psychology. Before university, Natasha danced pre-professionally and has continued to attend workshops and intensives to continue their professional development in the dance space. Natasha works full time as part of a sensorimotor therapy for neurodivergent and disabled children, youth, and adults, using a developmental social pragmatic approach focused on relationship-building, communication, emotional regulation, and physical literacy.

Natasha's goals as an instructor are to create a space where participants feel safe to explore movement and availability, and to encourage participants to have sensitivity and patience toward their own learning. While we do talk about technique and theory in class, we also heavily emphasize the development of motor pathways, sequencing, and body awareness.
