About

Black Student Support and Healing Space is a group for Black students to connect, chat, and share with Registered Clinical Counsellor, Tricia-Kay Williams.

Upcoming Sessions

All sessions are scheduled from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.

October 30 - Storytelling for self-care

This workshop focuses on having fun in a safe environment while exploring techniques to reduce anxiety. We will creatively harness the art of storytelling to enhance mental health and wellness. Please remember to bring pens and paper.

November 28 - Open discussion

December 11 - Journaling prompts for self-care: Embracing singleness

This workshop invites participants to explore the joys and strengths of being single through intentional journaling. Rather than viewing singleness as a void to be filled, we will reframe it as a time rich with growth, autonomy, and self-discovery. Participants will be guided through thoughtful prompts that encourage self-appreciation, challenge cultural narratives about relationships, and celebrate the unique freedom of living for oneself. Whether single by choice, circumstance, or transition, attendees will leave with a fresh perspective, deeper self-compassion, and journaling practices that affirm their wholeness as individuals.
