SFU's School of Communication has one of the best communication programs in the country. The hands-on skills you will learn during your Communication degree will prepare you for digital storytelling and communication with impact in a wide variety of industries. You will learn how media shapes our lives, how artificial intelligence and other technologies are embedded in the ways we communicate, how digital democracy operates today, and what you can do to make the world more just and equitable.

Situated in vibrant downtown Vancouver, the School for the Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University offers unique programs in which studio classes in Dance, Film, Performance Production & Design, Music & Sound, Theatre & Performance, and Visual Art are integrated with the historical and theoretical study of the arts. As well, students can follow a pathway focused on the critical study of the arts through our Art, Performance & Cinema Studies (APCS) program.

The School of Interactive Arts & Technology (SIAT) prepares students with a practice-based understanding of the design, development, and study of digital technologies in a human-centred and socially-relevant context. SIAT students combine the production of art and design, the analysis of media and culture, the study of human cognition, and the creative application of new technologies—all to solve problems, tell stories and explore the intersection of art, science, culture and the humanities.
