Study, socialize and relax... in French!
Did you know that at SFU, there is a dedicated space for students who speak French?
Located in the Cornerstone Building, next to the OFFA offices (Room 198-B), the Student Lounge is the ideal place to study or relax between classes. You will find several study tables, couches, a kitchen (with microwave and fridge for your lunch), a multimedia library with materials in French (novels, non-fiction books, magazines, films, music) and much more. There are also two computers operating Antidote (a software program for French grammar correction and writing assistance).
Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This lounge also serves as a venue for several events and activities in French at SFU: conferences, film screenings, celebrations, etc.
Enjoy this space—it was created for you! And don't hesitate to stop by and say hello to the members of the OFFA team.
Please note: you will notice that there is a "suggestion box" in the lounge. This is for you too!
Do you have a suggestion to improve your university experience? Would you like to organize a special party for your peers? Do you think a little music in the lounge would improve the atmosphere? We want to hear your ideas.
