Convocation Awards to FASS Students

Jessie Cale (PhD, Criminology)  was one of two SFU students awarded a Governor General’s Gold Medal. Read more about Jessie here. The Governor General’s Gold Medals are awarded to the two SFU graduate students who achieve the highest academic standing upon graduation from a master’s or doctoral degree program.

Dennis Storoshenko (PhD, Linguistics), Hayley Jones (MA, International Studies), and Caroline Greaves, (PhD Psychology), all received Dean of Graduate Studies Convocation Medals. The medals are presented to graduating students from each faculty whose cumulative grade-point averages place them in the top five per cent of their class.

Adam Blanchard (BA Honours, Psychology) and Colin Whelan (BA, Philosophy) received the Deans’ Undergraduate Convocation Medal that recognizes students from each faculty whose cumulative grade-point averages place them in the top five per cent of their class.
