Awards
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) seeks to recognize excellence in our faculty, staff, and students wherever possible. Learn about our faculty awards below.
Explore FASS awards
The Cormack Awards were established by former FASS Dean Lesley Cormack in 2010 to celebrate excellence and innovation in teaching within the faculty. The award recognizes the passion that faculty bring to the classroom, quality of pedegogy, and the value they bring to their students’ education and the FASS teaching community.
In recognition of academic excellence in research, teaching, and service, with an emphasis on significant contributions while in position in FASS at SFU, up to four Dean's Medals will be awarded annually to tenured faculty.
FASS Employee Achievement Awards recognize the dedication and hard work of FASS employees including staff, continuing faculty and temporary instructors in our collective service to the arts, humanities and social sciences and to our communities.
