Recognizing excellence
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) seeks to recognize excellence in our faculty, staff, and students wherever possible.
Cormack Teaching Awards
Recognizes the passion that faculty bring to the classroom, quality of pedegogy, and the value they bring to their students’ education and the FASS teaching community.
Dean's Medals
In recognition of academic excellence in research, teaching, and service, with an emphasis on significant contributions while in position in FASS at SFU, up to four Dean's Medals will be awarded annually to tenured faculty.
Employee Achievement Awards
Recognizes the dedication and hard work of FASS employees including staff, continuing faculty and temporary instructors in our collective service to the arts, humanities and social sciences and to our communities.
FASS Dean's Undergraduate Fellowship
Awarded to an undergraduate student from each BA-granting FASS department or program that exemplifies a full range of academic and humanistic qualities.
Research Excellence Awards
In recognition of FASS researchers who have produced sustained and impactful scholarly output and achieved national and international recognition throughout their careers.
