In fall 2017, humanities professor Stephen Duguid will retire after more than 45 years of teaching—39 of them at SFU.

And when he packs up his office, he’ll be taking along a 2015 Excellence in Teaching Award.

The award, which he received during a dinner on March 9, recognizes Duguid’s ability to stimulate students, his demonstrated care for student learning and enthusiasm in teaching, and his ability to present complex information clearly.
