Maziar Kazemi
Maziar Kazemi - Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure
Since 2013, Maziar has been working for the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure in various capacities including, Operations Manager, Area Manager and Electrical Services / Pavement Marking Manager. He is currently the District Manager for the Lower Mainland.
During his time with the Ministry of Transportation, he has had the opportunity to be involved in various aspects of large projects, such as proponent proposal evaluations, stakeholder consultation and overall contract management. As the District Manager, he works closely with municipalities and regional districts to understand transportation priorities and works collaboratively to prioritize funding to achieve mutual objectives.
Maziar graduated from SFU with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography with an Environmental Specialty and a Certificate in Spatial information Systems. As an undergradraduate student, he was heavily involved in extra-curricular activities, including being an active member of the Geography Student Union as well as a Board Member for the SFSS.
