Summer Unplugged: Art Therapy for Screen Time

Feeling like screen time is taking up more space in your life than you would like? Summer Unplugged offers students a supportive space to pause, reflect, and explore healthier ways of connecting with themselves and others through simple art therapy activities.

About

Summer Unplugged: Art Therapy for Screen Time is a supportive group for students who want to explore their relationship with screen time in a thoughtful, non-judgmental space. While screens are a normal part of daily life, they can sometimes take up more time than we intend or become a way of coping with stress, difficult emotions, procrastination, or disconnection.

Using simple and accessible art therapy activities, this group encourages students to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and others. No artistic experience or skill is required.

Together, participants will explore:

  • daily habits and patterns around screen use
  • personal intentions and values
  • individual goals for balance and wellbeing
  • practical steps toward creating healthier routines
  • ways to connect more meaningfully with themselves, their environment, and the SFU student community.
