Volunteer Files
Location of PIB (Department)
- All University Departments
Types of Personal Information (PI) in the PIB
Full name, home address, telephone number, email address, student ID number, educational history (degree name, major name, year of graduation), employment history, occupation history, equity-deserving group self-identification information (e.g., ethnicity, First Nations identification, disability), signature, criminal history.
Individuals included in the PIB
SFU Alumni, current students, and external community members.
Purposes for which PI collected, used and disclosed
Personal information is collected for the purposes of recruitment, onboarding, and management of volunteer labour contribution for University programs and events.
Individuals using personal information or to whom it is disclosed
Designated staff in a program or event’s home department or unit, who are directly involved in administration of that program or service, are authorized to use this information.
