Professional Learning Series

Workshops in French in Your Region

SFU's Faculty of Education, in collaboration with the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs, delivers Pro-D workshop series in French and free-of-charge to teachers at any grade level or in any educational environment.  The series are based on professional inquiry and are generally 3 to 5 sessions long per series.

Themes are developed in response to identified needs in BC school districts, particular schools or educational institutions. Particular needs may arise, for example, in response to policy or curriculum changes or needs identified in improving educative services.

These series are usually hosted by the district/organization making the request. They may be accommodated on-campus if requested.

Each series consists, in general, of:

  • 3-5 non-credit sessions on a given theme
  • sessions may be held during the day, evening or on the weekend
  • each session may last 3-5 hours
