On August 21st, Lecturer Andrew Perkins and SFU Geography tech staff made use of the recently completed augmented reality sandbox to host a group of Science Alive! campers. The sandbox highlighted how satellites can be used to measure the Earth’s surface and how that can help us identify surface landforms like fault-line offsets in the Pacific Northwest. The campers designed some amazing augmented reality landscapes and we were thrilled to host the next generation of geographers!
