Thinking about advancing your career in publishing? Our deadline for applications to the next intake of Masters in Publishing students is February 1st. We look forward to hearing from you!

Two current MPub students invite you to join the next intake of students in this creative and relevant professional development opportunity for anyone intending advancement in the field of publishing in Canada and around the world.

And if you have questions or want to learn more about the new flexible program which allows professionals to attend part-time, and has added elective options for students to add further learning opportunities to their program, join our Info Session for MPub 2026 Applications!

This is your chance to learn all about the program, application tips, and what to expect. The event is online, so you can tune in from anywhere. Don’t miss out on getting the inside scoop on what makes a great application, and on getting your questions answered. Get ready to kickstart your publishing journey with us!

Meet with Program Director, Hannah McGregor, our Grad Chair, Leanne Johnston, and our Advising Team in this group session where we will offer an overview and tips for your best application and answer questions you may have. The newly designed MPub now includes part-time options and we encourage all interested whether already working in the Publishing industry (Digital or Print) or aspiring to, to seek this especially relevant professional development opportunity.

About SFU Publishing

SFU’s Master of Publishing (MPub) program, Canada's only Master's degree program in Publishing, is taught by publishing practitioners and research faculty, along with masterclasses from industry leaders, the program offers a blend of seminar and hands-on project courses that provide tomorrow’s industry leaders with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed for a successful career.

The Publishing program offers education and professional development at all levels, from short professional Publishing Workshops to our Undergraduate Minor in Print and Digital Publishing and the graduate-level Master of Publishing program.
