Scholarly Digital Projects Program: Library-supported digital scholarship, publishing, and digitization support at SFU

Deadline: June 01, 2026

Applications: Scholarly Digital Project Program (SDPP)

Deadline: June 01, 2026

Applications are now open for SFU Library's Scholarly Digital Project Program (SDPP). This program provides in-kind and financial support to researchers in the creation, development, and promotion of digital scholarship at Simon Fraser University. Through consultations, training, technical development, digitization services, and seed funding, we partner with SFU researchers to develop and disseminate scholarly digital projects.

Scholarly digital projects typically involve a collaborative team using technology to interpret, analyze, or process collections of source material—such as text, images, audio, video, or other data types—and to share or provide access to this material in new or methodologically innovative ways.

We welcome projects from SFU researchers that align with Library expertise in digital research methods, multimodal publishing, Open Education, Digital Humanities, and Digitization.

Eligible applicants - Current SFU researchers are eligible to apply:

  • SFU faculty
  • SFU staff
  • Graduate students
  • Postdoctoral fellows

Applying to the SDPP begins with a consultation to discuss your project. Contact digital-scholarship@sfu.ca to arrange a consultation. Applications are due by June 1, 2026. More information is available here.
