These records are created, used, retained and managed in accordance with the following authorities:

  • Income Tax Act (RSC 1985, c. I-3.3)
  • SFU Collective Bargaining Agreements

 

Retention rationale

These records are required by the Cashier's Office for administrative, fiscal and legal use until the expiration of the total retention period. Upon expiration of the total retention period these records can be destroyed in accordance with the Income Tax Act (RSC 1952, c. 148, s. 230).
