Graduate Convocation Medal Winners, 2017

Congratulations to our Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences graduate convocation medal award winners! The Medals recognize graduating students whose cumulative grade-point averages place them in the top five per cent of their class.

Amy De'Ath (PhD, English)  is being awarded the Dean’s Convocation Medal for her PhD work in English. Her research provides insights into debates over the relationships between culture and capital in a moment of protracted economic crisis.

Evan McCuish (PhD, Criminology) is being awarded the Dean’s Convocation Medal for his PhD work in Criminology. His research brings into question the efficacy of many decade-old theories used to explain why individuals stop offending.
